Immersive virtual reality as a tool to learn problem-solving skills

Immersive virtual reality (IVR) technology has demonstrated positive educational outcomes related to its use and is gaining traction in training settings; IVR expected have widespread adoption within the classroom upcoming years. However, potential of with children not been thoroughly investigated, especially as a tool for problem-solving skills. Therefore, this study was designed answer following questions: (1) Is useful learn practice skills? More specifically, do using solve game better than those tablet application or board game? (2) Does provide more engaging experience skills on (3) Do learned transfer real-life (physical game)? Children (n = 120) aged 7–9.9 years were randomly assigned one three conditions: game, tablet, IVR. The results showed that, overall, percentage who completed higher condition (77.5%), compared (32.5%) (30%) conditions. We also found that interest enjoyment scores participants significantly other two conditions, able how problem their learning physical game. capable motivating user, well having assist cognitive processing knowledge transfer.
